프랑스 사람 네팔어 말한다.

지난주에 깜짝 놀랐어요! 한국에서 외국인 한테 전화할때 그 사람이 저 한테 인도말을 할주인야 알라보렸요. 그다음에 인도말과 네팔말로 30 분 까지 이야기를 했어요.

대구 알리앙스 프랑세즈 원장 깡디씨는 2 년 정도 IIT 인도에서 네팔 사람 이랑 같이 살았어 니까 인도어 (힌디)를 잘해요. 인도에 있을때 네팔으 로도 여행 가봤대요. 2년만 인도에 살았던 사람도 인도 말 잘해요, 저는 한국에서 3년 이나 살았는데 한국말을 잘 못해요. 그래서, 혹시 내가 바보야 생각하고 있어요.

제가 프랑스어 공부 시작했어요

얼마전네 우리 집에서 프랑스 여자분 살고 있었어요. 그분이 여러 번 나에게 프랑스어를 공부할라고 제안해 줬어요. 하지만 그때는 내가 관심이 없어서 공부 안했어요. 그 분이 저한테 네팔 말을 많이 배웠어요. 지금 제가 프랑스어 배우면 좋겠다고 생각해서, 배우고 싶었어요. 지난주 금요일에 대구 경북대학교에있는 알리앙스 프랑세즈 가서 프랑스어 공부하고 싶으면 어떻게 하야해요 몰라서요. 깡디- 알리앙스 프랑세즈의 원장님이에요. 깡디씨는 친절 하고 성격이 활발해요. 깡디씨가 우리한테 내일 와서 수업듣고 괜찮으면 계속 들으세요 라고 말했어요. 그 수업은 3 주 전에 시작되어서 저는 조금 두려웠어요. 그런데도 한번 들어 보자고 생각했어요. 토요일에 경북대학교에 또 갔어요. 갈때 교통 도로 많이 막혀서 5분 늦었어요. 그 다음에 교실 밖에서 봤을때 학생들이 30명 넘게 있었어요. 그래서 우리 교실 안에 안 갔어요. 대구 시내 가서 다른 어학원에 신청 도 하고 수업 도 듣고 왔어요.

지금 프랑스어 한국말로 공부하고 있어요. (한국말도물라요, 어떻게???)

제가 좋아하는 음식

저는 한국 음식 중에서 닭갈비를 아주 좋아합니다. 닭갈비는 조금 맵지만 맛있습니다. 닭갈비사진이 밑에 있습니다. 닭갈비는 한국 사람도 좋아하고 외국 사람 도 좋아합니다. 닭갈비 아에 닭고기, 떡볶이, 야채 그리고 소스 들어갑니다. 한국에서 수원 (왕) 갈비 는 최고예요. 외국 사람들 한국오면 한번 먹어보세요.

I don’t know why I paid penalty.

Yesterday I went to change my visa status from IT Professional visa (E-7 visa) to Student Visa (D-2) visa. The Immigration Officer asked me to pay fine first. The reason he said, I need to pay penalty is the admission letter issued from university is on December 14, 2007. The fine was so huge that I confused. I came back to the university and told the entire story to my advisor professor; he called many places and tried to solve the problem but all in vain.

It was the last day to transfer money to the University’s a/c for admission fee. Fail to do so may disqualify to enter in spring 2008. I was so worried; fortunately, I received a call from Immigration office with good news. The immigration officer said I can change visa with small penalty.

Today I visited Immigration office and paid penalty and changed visa type. But still I didn’t understand what was the penalty for. I had a valid visa for 8 more months. I worked in the company until last month and came to school early this month. I visited immigration office and cancelled my IT Professional visa before few days, I got admission letter from the university day before yesterday and I went to immigration office. I attended class only in this week. I don’t know what my fault is.
Anyway, the problem is solved for now. I am happy that I can focus in my research now.

My First DECT (Digital Communication Engineering Theory) Class in PhD

I took my first DECT (Digital Communication Engineering Theory) class today. This is my first graduate level class and second class in Yeungnam University (Yesterday, I have taken one undergraduate level class). The professor is from Turkey. He asked the background of all the students. Only 2 students, one from China including me were not from the communication Engineering background.
After the class I asked him if I can take this class without communication background. He gave me assurance that I can take this class and I have to study hard. He also told me that he is younger than me. This class is all mathematics. I really worried about this class. But, I’ll try my best. God may bless me.

My first PhD class.

I never thought that I can even try for PhD. I received ITSP (Korean government scholarship for IT students) by IITA. I never thought about it. Many students from many countries applied for the same scholarship in my university under our department but they didn’t get. Few of them came in professor’s support. I took my PhD class today – Computer Networks II. I met my professor and discuss about my roadmap to PhD. As I’m only one PhD student in my lab, I’m not feeling comfortable.
