Applications are invited for a Research Assistant (R/A) position at the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department of the UAE University (www.uaeu.ac.ae).
The main role of the Research Assistant will be on the fabrication of metal/metal-oxide doped carbon nanofibers through electrospinning and supercritical processes and their subsequent testing in the deep desulfurization of propane used as a feedstock for compact fuel cell units. The R/A appointment is initially for one (1) year with possible extension for another six (6) to twelve (12) months. Highly motivated applicants with B.Sc. or M.Sc. degrees in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science and Engineering are invited to submit their applications to this position.
The position is open to everybody, but priority will be given to post-graduate students in the M.Sc. or Ph.D levels.
The package includes a monthly allowance of 4,000 -7,000 AED (1,000 – 2,000 USD) per month depending on the qualifications and experience, medical insurance for the whole period of the appointment and a round-trip air ticket from appointee’s hometown to UAE and back home at the end of the project.
